After A52FH in september 2000 and A52CDX in 2004 and 2005, we were again in kingdom of Bhutan from 7th to 25th of november 2008, with the same team as in 2004 and 2005.

With several parts in our 2008 project :

• We celebrate, on the air, the centenary  of the kingdom  and the coronation of the new king with a special callsign, A5100A (A5: Bhutan prefix, 100 centenary of the kingdom). 

• We bring two transceivers that will be donated to BICMA on behalf of the amateur radio community to allow emergency communications between a very isolated valley in the far North and its district head office, 

• After our stay in Thimphu, we operate portable from 4 différents place in 3 differents aeras

• Finally, outside our radio activity, we bring school supplies to isolated schools from the Tang valley in central Bhutan

Ham radio activity :

• We operate in Thimphu from 7th to 17th November, for 10 full days, including two weekends, from Jambayang (Loc NL47tl, 89°38'E 27°28'N), we use only one station, an Icom IC756 with 400w amplifier, with Spiderbeam,  G5RV, vertical AV8 antenna, and a 160M dipole and made more than 5350 contacts, some of them made by A51PR during the visit of the BICAM on 14th november.

• In remote aera we will be with only one station, with less than 100w, wired antenna (with solar power from Ogyen-Choling),

• We made more than 5800 contacts

• The QSL is via F9DK.
